Atlanta Elite Spray Foam prices spray foam per square foot, and foam type sets the band: open-cell runs $1.50 to $3.50, closed-cell $2.50 to $5.50.
Walls in an Atlanta home with roughly 1,500-2,000 sq ft of wall area typically land at $4,000-$12,000, depending on foam and access. Attics mostly fall at $3,000-$8,000. A new-construction whole house, with open cavities and nothing to tear out, runs $6,000-$15,000.

Closed-cell is denser, uses more material per inch and gives about R-6 to R-7 per inch, against R-3.5 to R-3.8 for open-cell. The DOE Guide to Home Insulation lists per-square-foot costs for spray foam and other materials in line with ours.
Where cavity depth is fixed and an R-value target is set, closed-cell gets there in fewer inches. Our comparison against fiberglass and the open-cell versus closed-cell page cover that trade.
New construction is the cheapest time to foam. Nothing comes out and crews are not working around finishes. Building in Cumming, Canton or McDonough? Foaming now costs far less than retrofitting later.
Rim joists, top plates, penetrations and chases decide whether a foam job performs. Don't cut corners here.
You buy inches, not just coverage. Quoted rates assume a standard depth, so more inches for higher R-value raises the price in step.
The biggest swing in retrofits. Open cavities in a remodel are easy. Finished walls mean pulling drywall or drilling and injecting, both extra labor. A walkable attic also prices lower than one where crews crawl between trusses.
Foam sticks to anything, so masking and covering are part of the work, and they take longer in a lived-in home.
Existing batts or blown cellulose generally have to go first. Hauling it out is its own line item, and attics packed with decades of loose fill are the slowest.
Long cooling seasons, heavy humidity and vented attic decks well past 130°F make the attic the top return. That is where the temperature gap and air leakage hit hardest. See our attic spray foam page.
Crawl spaces rank second and get overlooked. Sealing one keeps muggy summer air out of the floor system, helping comfort and moisture alike. See crawl space foam insulation.
Thickness and R-value are the items most often left fuzzy, and they prove you got what you paid for. A square-foot rate with no depth is not a quote.
